Why do we go through trials?
Is it not so that He may come and pick us up with His mighty hand?
Why do we struggle?
Is it not so that His love will shine to us?
Why do we fall?
Is it not so that we may be picked up?
How many times a year do we describe life as dry. As if we aren’t “getting” anything from God? It’s crazy, because He’s giving. Over and over and over again. We dry out, so that He may fill us again. Jesus is our living water. Why do we forget? He’s there. He is.
It’s like we forget. We turn to things in the world hoping they will fill us, but do they? No. They just leave us wanting more and more and NEVER feeling satisfied. Isaiah 58:11 says “The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” And Jeremiah 31:25 says “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”
What does that mean? He will satisfy us!
Why do we feel as if we need to be satisfied by the world?
When He can satisfy us completely?
Why do we fall in Satan’s trap and think our faith has hit a dry end?
When our LORD AND FATHER CAN SATISFY US?
Why do we turn away from Him?
When He’s our living water? Our living water!
Our Heavenly Father is the everlasting God. Goodness, He is the Creator of HEAVEN and EARTH! And best of all: He will not grow tired of weary! He will not grow tired… nor weary. He will not grow tired.
Isaiah 40: 26-30 <– I just love it.
